Coaches

Scott Urquhart

Our annual training plan is delivered by our team of friendly coaches.  They come from a variety of sports backgrounds and are all certified to varying levels.

Louise Burt

I am a triathlete turned runner, now concentrating on long hill races and ultra-distance trail races, but I find including swimming and cycling a great way to keep training interesting. I have the level 1 coaching certificate and have been with the club since it started in 1996.

Stephen Moffatt

I came into the sport from a swimming background, competing at a National level.  I've been competing in triathlon since 1997 and have completed over 50 events at all distances from Sprint to Ironman.

I'm a level 2 qualified coach and have been involved with the Scottish Performance Programme since 2000 as an assistant coach, head coach of training camps, team manager and as Director of Performance.

I am currently the triathlonscotland board member with responsibilities for British and International matters. This means that I also sit on the board of British Triathlon as the Scottish representative. I had the pleasure of being a "Clyde Sider" at the Commonwealth Games this summer, where I was a Team Leader for Field of Play.

I came into triathlon in 2003 after rupturing my cruciate ligament playing rugby the year before. I've raced every distance from novice to Ironman, including a few off road Tris, as well as local bike Time trials, Coast to Coast (run, bike, kayak)  and 24hr MTB race a couple of times. I've raced across the UK in addition to Switzerland, Germany, Estonia and Canada.

I've been involved in coaching for the last 7 years, starting off coaching kids, a number of whom are currently Triathlon Scotland development squad athletes. I'm currently a level 2 coach involved in coaching at Kinross Youth Triathlon club in addition to the sessions at East Fife Triathlon Club.  I also helped to coach the Triathlon Scotland Foundation Squad.
